Her ancestral ties connect her to the Chohtan Tehsil of Barmer, Rajasthan, where she carries forward the legacy of Kashidakari.
Her journey into this intricate art form began under the tutelage of her mother, and she has dedicated over two decades to honing her skills. Her passion and commitment to Kashidakari have not gone unnoticed, as she was awarded the District-level prize in 2015 for her exceptional craftsmanship.
Devi has extended her expertise and generosity by imparting her knowledge to thousands of women in her village, working in collaboration with a non-governmental organization (NGO).
